US Food Labeling Standards Set to Change After 30 Years

A new bill presented to the US Senate aims to modernize food labeling rules, focusing on consumer health after more than 30 years.

The proposed 2026 Food Labeling Modernization Act, submitted to the US Senate, aims to comprehensively update food labeling standards for the first time in over 30 years. The draft regulation was prepared by Senator Richard Blumenthal and Senator Cory Booker.
