Severe downpours in Malatya's Hekimhan district caused flooding, damaging apricots left out to dry in exhibition areas.
Severe rainfall, which was effective in the afternoon in Kocaözü Neighborhood of Malatya's Hekimhan district, caused floods. Following the rainfall, some houses and warehouses in the region were flooded.
While the floods negatively affected agricultural activities in the region, apricots left to dry in producers' exhibition areas were damaged. District Gendarmerie Command, AFAD, District Agriculture and Forestry Directorate, and metropolitan municipality teams have started damage assessment and evacuation efforts in the areas affected by the flood.
