The Turkish Grain Board (TMO) announced that it will offer 5.5 million tons of bread and durum wheat for sale starting October 5, in line with market developments and sector needs. According to the institution's data, strong stock levels have been achieved through carry-over stocks from previous years and purchases made this season. In this context, the procedures and principles for grain sales, which have been ongoing since September 1, have been revised.
Sales Method and Pricing Policy
According to the institution's announcement, stocks in licensed warehouses will be offered through the Turkish Products Exchange (TÜRİB), while products in TMO warehouses will be available to users through direct sales. The Turkish Grain Board stated the following regarding its pricing policy:
'No changes or increases have been made to the sales prices determined and announced by TMO during the harvest period. TMO will continue its work by closely monitoring developments in domestic and international markets, the supply-demand balance, and sector needs in the coming period.
