Carcass Prices Rise in National Red Meat Market

Current Status of Carcass Meat Prices
According to data from the National Red Meat Council (UKON) dated September 3, 2026, the weekly lean beef price from abattoirs and slaughterhouses reached an average of 588.44 TL/kg. The lean lamb carcass price was determined to be an average of 627.29 TL/kg nationwide. These announced figures reflect the regional averages of the prevailing spot carcass prices in the market.
Price Differences Between Regions
According to UKON data, the highest beef price was recorded in the Black Sea region at 598.75 TL/kg, followed by Marmara at 596.70 TL/kg and the Aegean at 595.00 TL/kg. In Eastern Anatolia, beef prices were 585.00 TL/kg, in the Mediterranean 582.70 TL/kg, and in Central Anatolia 582.50 TL/kg, with the lowest price observed in Southeastern Anatolia at 578.40 TL/kg. For lamb slaughter, Marmara led with 695.00 TL/kg. Lamb prices were calculated as 670.00 TL/kg in the Aegean, 655.00 TL/kg in the Black Sea, 626.00 TL/kg in the Mediterranean, 595.00 TL/kg in Central Anatolia, 580.00 TL/kg in Eastern Anatolia, and 570.00 TL/kg in Southeastern Anatolia.
Monthly and Annual Increase Rates
Examining price changes, beef prices saw a monthly increase of 0.9% and an annual increase of 26.3%. The rise in lamb carcass prices occurred at a monthly rate of 3.2% and an annual rate of 27.6%. In line with UKON data, the annual increase in lamb prices was recorded as 1.3 percentage points higher than the annual increase in beef prices.
