Hazelnut Producer's Threshing Costs Rise to 6,000 Lira

With the completion of the hazelnut harvest in Ordu, threshing work has begun in the drying yards, with the service fee increasing to 6,000 lira per hour.
Producers in Ordu, having completed their hazelnut harvest, have commenced threshing work in their drying yards to prepare their products for sale. Hazelnuts collected from the orchards and dried in the yards are passed through threshing machines to separate them from their husks, after which they are spread out again for the final drying stage. Producer Engin Yüksel stated that they are working intensively in the drying yards for post-harvest processing of the product.
The cost of threshing services, one of the most significant cost items after the harvest, has seen an increase this season. The threshing fee, which was 4,500 TL per hour last year, has started to be applied at 6,000 TL per hour this period.
