Chicken Meat Production Saw Double-Digit Growth in June

According to TurkStat data, chicken meat production in June increased by 14.8% month-on-month and 14.7% year-on-year, exceeding 232,000 tons.
Double-Digit Increase in Chicken Meat Production
According to the Poultry Farming Production June 2026 data shared by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), the white meat sector recorded significant growth. TurkStat data reveals that chicken meat production, which was 202,336 tons in the previous month, increased by 14.8% month-on-month to reach 232,238 tons in June. When examined on an annual basis, chicken meat production increased by 14.7% compared to the same period last year, while the annual increase rate in the number of chickens slaughtered was recorded as 14.4%.
Annual Rise in Egg Production Continues
According to TurkStat data, chicken egg production increased by 21% year-on-year in June, while showing a slight decrease on a monthly basis. Egg production, which was 1 billion 857 million 150 thousand units in May, fell by 1% to 1 billion 838 million 966 thousand units in June. In the first 6 months of the January-June period, chicken egg production increased by 18.6% compared to the same period last year, the number of chickens slaughtered increased by 1.2%, and chicken meat production increased by 0.3%.
